Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kids Classes

BDB Martial Arts is very excited to announce that we will soon be offering kids classes for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ages 7-13). Our program will run in semesters and there will be 2 per year. The first one will begin February 2005 - June 2005 and the second one will be September 2005 - January 2006. The cost will be $290.00 + applicable taxes. For that price your child will receive 5 months of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lessons with two classes per week on Monday and Wednesday nights at 5:30pm-6:30pm . This will be especially convenient for parents who also wish to train in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes because the adult class is on the same nights immediately following the kid's class. Your child will also receive a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform, which includes a jacket, pants, white belt and a BDB Martial Arts very own club patch.

BDB Martial Arts Kid's Classes will consist of practical self-defence techniques to protect them under the threat of childhood bullies. They will get to practice these techniques in a controlled environment under the careful watch of certified instructors. The classes will be structured to be fun for the kids. Using games, drills and exercises, we can teach your child to improve their attribute development such as balance, coordination and strength. Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes will also be a means for your child to learn respect for others, self-control and team camaraderie.

Kids will also be able to advance in belt ranking. This will let the child know how well they are doing in their progress levels and teach them to set goals for the future. Progressing in belt levels will also make your child feel better about them selves in turn improving self esteem.

We have high hopes for our children's program for the future. We plan on incorporating extra activities for the kids, such as summer camps, seminars and club tournaments.
