Sheila Bird had an exhibition match for the Fila World Team Trials. No one showed up in her division so Sheila won by default. Terri McNutt, in the lower weight category faced Sheila for the exhibition match. Sheila got points for the take down and side control and then finished the match with a scissor choke from North-South position.
On the Fila International tournament the following day Brad Cardinal had 3 matches and won all of them winning the Gold medal for the day. He submitted two of his opponents with a triangle choke and a guillotine choke. Sheila Bird also competed on the second day and had 3 matches, winning all her fights by submission giving her the Gold medal.
