Fight Club Challenge results from
May 30th, 2009

At the "Fight Club Challenge" in Calgary, AB on May 30th BDB Martial Arts had 7 competitors in total.

Men's Heavy weight No-Gi: 3rd place Josh Kitchen
Women's Gi and No-Gi: 1st place Sheila Bird

We had Josh Kitchen and Sheila Bird as the only adults to represent at the tournament. Josh won Bronze in the No-Gi heavy weight division. Josh has only been training a few months and he has already competed in 3 tournaments. He has a great attitude and is learning quickly. Sheila won Gold in Gi and the No-Gi female divisions with 6 matches in total Sheila submitted all her opponents. There was a great female turn out at the tournament with 6 women in total.

For the kids divisions. We had 5 kids compete from BDB Martial Arts.

Age 7-9 lightweight:    1st place Melissa Fryer
                                        2nd place Ford Witt

Age 7-9 heavyweight: 1st place Matthew Coetser

Age 10-12: 1st place Simon Kachour

Age 13-15: 3rd place Donavon Saghir
