Successful Seminar With Roy Harris

The two-day seminar over the weekend (Feb 4th-5th) with Roy Harris was very exciting. Once again every student in attendance walked away with as much information as they could handle on the straight arm lock.  There were a lot of very happy & excited faces as those in attendance observed Roy's teaching methods, including his one on one help while they practiced their technique.

This particular topic is one of Roy’s specialties, this was very obvious as he went into great detail while demonstrating each technique. The first day covered the basic mechanics of the arm bar as well as several different entries and methods for breaking your opponent's grip. At the end of the day Roy sparred with all those who wished to. This gave them the opportunity to feel how a very highly skilled practitioner grapplers. The second day had more information on different entries as well as a review of the whole seminar and time for questions from the attendee's on both the seminar material and unrelated material.

We bring Roy Harris to Calgary for a seminar 2 times a year.  We look forward to seeing him again in November 2006.
