Red Deer, AB Absolute Submission Challenge 2005-2006 series-Tournament #3

The ASC was a success for BDB competitors. Everyone fought very hard and displayed an excellent sportsmanship attitude and great skill level to make our team look strong. In total we had 12 members compete. Chris Smith, Ria-Mae Cranston, Cody Kings, Chris Lemky, Troy Thompson, Ryan Iwasiw, Sheila Bird, Rich Martens, Nick Ring, Jason Celik, Kirk Tse and Todd Strong. Thank you to Blair for being a referee for the day. It just got thrown on him last minute and he did a great job. Here are the standings of how our team did.

Women's open weight class:
	Sheila Bird – Gold – Submitted all of her opponents. Ria – Silver – There were 5 girls in this division and Ria got 2 submissions, an armbar and a rear naked choke. She almost finished one of her fights with the twister.

Men's 140 and below
	Todd Strong – 3 rd Place standing

Men's 140 – 155 lbs
	Kirk Tse – Silver Cody Kings – Finished one of his matches with a gogo plata

Men's 155 – 170 lbs
	Chris Lemky – Silver Troy Thompson – 3 rd Place Standing Ryan Iwasiw – This was his first tournament and he got 2 submissions!!

Men's 170 – 185 lbs
	Rich Martens – Gold, Submitted all his opponents Chris Smith – Fought well in heavier weight division

Men's 185 – 205 lbs
	Nick Ring – Gold, Submitted all his opponents

Men's 205 and over
	Jason Celik – 3 rd place standing, weighed in 1 lb over weight and had to go in the big guy division. Total of 8 guys in his category.
