Josh "The Soup" Kitchen wins MMA fight in Castlegar, BC October 15, 2011

Congratulations to the BDB team that went down to Castlegar, BC this past weekend to fight MMA. Professional fighter Josh "The Soup" Kitchen won his fight by submission near the end of a intense war with Sheldon Doll from House of Pain in Cranbrook, BC.
The fight was back and forth with both guys throwing huge bombs, Josh getting the better of Sheldon with his take downs and grappling getting it to the ground and getting a triangle arm choke from half guard which won him the match. Not a common finish that most people are used to seeing in MMA but Josh has been working this sub for a while and finally got the chance to show everyone his ground submission skills.
Also fighting on the card from BDB was Dusty Kramps and Shae Erickson.
Unfortunately the fights not going their way but they are both amateur fighters getting experience under their belt. Shae's match was back and forth and he started the match with 3 solid leg kicks, he also did some great reversals and ground techniques, his opponent was crafty and got Shae's back and won by a choke. This is a fight that could have went either way.
Dusty also came out and landed a solid hit on his opponent which made the guy want to take it to the ground because of Dusty's Muay Thai experience. Dusty scrambled to get back to his feet but unfortunately gave the guy an opening for a submission in the mean time that he capitalized on.
I am confident all the fighters will learn tons from their experience in the cage and be back at it soon. Shae Erickson has another MMA fight booked on the AX Combat fight card in Calgary November 11th.
Thanks to Noah for helping out Brian in the corner with the fighters. Also thanks to the BDB fans who drove the 8 hour drive to come watch the guys fight.
